LA CROIX DE MONTAUGÉ – The Cross of Montaugé

Leisure site, the Villecartier Forest is, first of all, a place of wood production. This walk allows you to observe the differents stages of forest management. Discover, here, a sustainable management that contributes to the preservation of the forest heritage. You will cross, also, on your way, the cross of Montaugé, erected in 1625 by Le Gallais’s family, following the murder of the lieutenant “of Waters and Forests”, Estienne Gallais.

Watch out : one part of the tour is altered by a wood cutting area and the marking is not visible any more. The map reading is essential in this area.
